2008 Coastwalks - Fun With a Purpose!

HOW DO I REGISTER?

When you register online you save the $15 registration fee (available only for online registrations). You can also register by mail, fax or phone, using the Coastwalk Registration Form (download a 2-page registration form here).

All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent, legal guardian, or an adult authorized by their parent who is at least the age of 25. You will receive a Minor Permission form which must be completed and returned to Coastwalk prior to the walk in your confirmation packet. You can download a copy of the Minor Permission form here.

Space in our programs can fill quickly, so we recommend you register early.

When you register you will be asked to name a primary contact; this person will serve as the contact person for your entire group and receive all communications. Upon receipt of full payment we will send a confirmation notice and release of liability forms to the primary contact. Every participant must submit a signed release of liability to participate. You may donwload a copy of the liability release form here.

Our local registrars will also contact you separately and offer an itinerary, equipment list, map/directions and other information to help you prepare.

WALK REGISTRATION FOR COASTWALK VOLUNTEERS

Coastwalk volunteers are welcome to enroll in a walk program using earned volunteer credits. Please call the Coastwalk office for a volunteer registration form.

WHAT'S THE CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY?

If you must cancel your registration, your request for a refund must be received by the Coastwalk office in writing or by email at least 30 days prior to the start date of the walk. For cancellation requests received at least 30 days prior, each participant may receive a refund, less any unrecoverable costs (pre-paid program expenses, including contracted lodging, transportation and tours) in addition to a $50 cancellation fee.

There will be no refund for cancellations made within 30 days of the walk start date.

Coastwalk exercises the right to cancel any program for any reason, in which case full refunds will be issued to each registrant. Every effort will be made to notify registrants in a timely fashion, through the primary contact named on the Registration Form.

WHAT DO MY FEES INCLUDE?

Program fees support the coastal advocacy, education, outreach and stewardship work of Coastwalk. Fees include guided walks and evening programs, most trail shuttle transportation, entrance and camping fees, dinners and beverages, and in the case of our inn-based programs, most meals and double occupancy rooms.

Participants are responsible for their own camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, and dishware), breakfasts and lunches. Everyone is asked to volunteer and participate in simple camp clean-up.

NEW! GROUP RATES

Available on any Coastwalk in the 2008 season with the following restrictions:

  • Minimum 10 participants, must register as a group
  • 10% discounted program fee per person
  • Coastwalk requires a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time that the group reservation is made.
  • The final balance will be due 60 days prior to the start date of the Coastwalk program.
  • Registration must be made via telephone with Linda Hanes (800) 550-6854 xt.3 to receive the group discounted rate.
