"We had a most enjoyable experience on the 2007 Santa Barbara Coastwalk.
The walks were leisurely and were led by very knowledgeable and friendly guides. We especially enjoyed exploring the unique Guadalupe Dunes , the tranquil Refugio Stae Beach and the visit to the UCSB Marine Science Center.
The volunteer dinners were delicious. We highly recommend the Santa Barbara Coastwlk to those that want to experience this portion of our California Coast."

Balmy weather and the warm and gentle waters of the Santa Barbara coast invite comparisons to the Riviera. In this enchanting locale explore, with the help of enthusiastic local guides, the largest stretch of undeveloped coastline in Southern California.
The distinctive orientation of this coast creates a bioregion that supported the Chumash culture for 13,000 years. We’ll hike the Guadalupe Dunes, one of the most ecologically significant dune areas in America.
With Mike Lunsford, president of the Gaviota Coast Conservancy, we’ll walk the private coves of the remote Gaviota Coast and learn about the efforts to conserve it. Enjoy the ambiance of the picturesque Santa Barbara waterfront, and sail offshore to Channel Islands National Park where we’ll explore Santa Cruz Island and its unique terrestrial and marine communities, spectacular mountains, pristine tidepools and expansive beaches.
We'll also enjoy the chance to be part of history as we install trail markers for the California Coastal Trail - among the first installed in the state! - along a Santa Barbara stretch of the Coastal Trail.
