The Marin Headlands, the northern beacon of the Golden Gate, is a national park wilderness just minutes from San Francisco. Its sweeping views of the Farallon Islands, the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay Area are unparalleled.

Just north, we’ll explore Mt. Tamalpais and Muir Woods, hike the breathtaking Steep Ravine and the famous Dipsea Trail out to Stinson Beach, and visit the serene Zen Center at Green Gulch. You won’t forget your private tour of the Point Bonita Lighthouse.
Join local guides and learn about the area’s military history, how conservationists protected the Headlands from development, and the work of the marine mammal conservation and educational organizations based there.

The Headlands Institute, on Rodeo Lagoon overlooking the Pacific, offers comfortable dormitory style lodging and outstanding meals for this Coastwalk get-away.
